Knowle Windmill constructed in 1701 and located near the village of Bembridge on the Isle of Wight, was first made famous in the 18th century when it was painted by the world renowned artist William Turner. During WWII it was used as a look-out station by the local home guard. Today it’s the last windmill on the island and a cherished landmark currently managed by the National Trust.
