Bletchley was Britain’s centre for the decryption of enemy codes and ciphers during WWII. The complex at Milton Keynes houses the Bletchley Park Museum and the National Museum of Computing. It was at Bletchley that Germany’s Enigma codes were broken. Much of the WWII equipment was deliberately destroyed after the war to protect the secret of its construction. The full scale of discoveries may never be fully known.
